my research project yay!!!!!!!!!

Hunger games research project!!!!!!

My topic is oppressive governments, I choose this topic because in the book The Hunger Games they have a government called the capitol and it is a oppressive government to them. There are 12 districts surrounding the capitol I can only tell about one though. There were 13 until the districts revolted against the capitol and the 13^th district was destroyed. So now every year they have the hunger games which is when they take a boy and girl tribute from each district and put them all in a arena together and they fight to the death until one tribute is left then they are crowned the winner and go home a hero and live in luxury until their death of natural causes.

OPPRESSIVE GOVERNMENTS!

In order to show how the capitol was oppressive I researched various oppressive governments and how they can affect the people who live there. My results were that living under an oppressive government is very hard to express yourself and you cant make your own choices.

The small ways people protest oppressive governments!

While searching my topic I found a lot of things I didn't know before like in Thailand they did a campaign called panties for peace. What they did was mail out panties and occasionally male underwear to embassys around Thailand to promote awareness about military violations especially against women including rape and sexual violence. The inspiration was that ruling generals were superstitious and thought that touching woman's undergarments would reduce their powers! I thought that was a great idea!!!!(small ways) I also found out that some people believe that our government is oppressive and that we need to revolt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(rebecca)

love life hate pain thats how its supposed to be right? give and recive but can anyone tell me what happens when you give all you have to one person and once its all gone, you never recive? how when you get your heart broken but nobody cares, give it all away and people still stare....? or when you try to live like everyone else and not be yourself because you are scared that nobody will like you?

Hurting people I really care about........ making a relationship end by telling a secret........... back tracking into the person I was before,the person nobody wants to be. That evil person inside who ruins everything and when you  finally get it straightened out, it falls apart again......... not only ruining your freinds relationship but my own..........I guess you cant blame a person for who they are, but what about the person that people have turned you into, the person that the cruelty of the world has made you be........... beauty what is it really?

In Hollywood we all see beauty as fake and plastic, but all it is is beauty on the outside bits the inside that counts right? Like beauty is helping somebody who needs it, as in giving a single mother a place to stay when she has nowhere to go! Contrary to what people think its not getting liposuction because people tell you you are fat or stuff like that its how you feel about yourself that matters and by showing in videos that you should be perfect it messes with peoples heads, especially girls, I know a four year old girl who is afraid to wear a bathing suite because she thinks she is fat! that is wrong!!!!!!

my perfect world would be....... artistic,loud,everybody would be happy and there would be no saddness or heartbreak or anger!!!! nobody would go hungry,WORLD PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!! all fun,no hate,no greed,UNICORNS,DINOSARS(RAWR),RAINBOWS!!!!! no rich or poor,nobody would want for anything cuz we had everything we want,a lot of japanese food and candy,my friends would all live with me or really close!!!!!! and that is like the best world i can think of!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
